Neighbours

Imagine for a second you're watching Neighbours with your feet up when there's a series of loud knocks on the back door. You jump up to investigate. You find a wide-eyed neighbour begging for protection from an unknown or unseen threat. Do you ask them to kindly go to the front door in order to be processed correctly? Slam the door in their face? Leave them at the back door? Lock them up in the shed while you ascertain the veracity of their claims? Barricade the back door to prevent a repeat? Put barbed-wire on the electric fence? Or let them in the fucking house? Are they the threat? Are you?

Long time. Too long.

I just woke up from a 44 year long slumber/coma.

It only took 12 visits to a psychologist, 3 to a psychiatrist, two stints in the Brisbane police cells, one court appearance, and being bashed to within an inch of my life by the lovely Qld Police. I've got another court appearance on 23 Nov. The charge? Stealing money out of my own bank a/c. Work that one out.

Anyway as an ex Police Contsable with SAPOL, I'm used to playing Prosecutor, so I'm defending myself. I will be challenging the religious vilification laws in this country, whereby it is unlawful to ridicule someone's religious beliefs, and as a member of the Church of Satan, we believe lying is the way to go, in imitation of our Master, the Father of LIes himself, Beelzebub, the evil one, Lucifer, etc.

I've gone back to full-time writing. I am never, ever, ever doing another brain-dead job in my llife. They all end up in the same place - the Royal Brisbane Hospital pysch ward. Are those placing boring or what?

Teresa of Orble fame is still up here in Brisbane. She just graduated from JSchool (Journalism School) in Brisbane CBD and is doing an intership with the Courier Mail, but in all likelihood will get a job at Moree (near Gold Coast, only inland) as a Features writer. She writes very' clean copy.
